Yabby pots and opera house nets

Yabby Pot

The use or possession of yabby pots is prohibited in, on or next to Victorian public waters. Yabby pots include opera house, pyramid and folding frame nets.

Yabby pots can only be used in private inland waters such as farm dams where a maximum of 3 pots applies.

In January 2012, regulations governing the use of pyramid nets in the public waters of North West Victoria may change.
