Some areas accessible to wheelchairs

37 hectares of botanical parkland.

A network of walking tracks lead to spectacular views of park lakes, hills and bluestone cliff faces.

Picturesque walking around the lake and to bird hides. These walks can be short or long, depending on the time you have to spend.

Berwick area is very lucky to have some of Victoria's finest parks on its doorstep

North of Berwick, and just 10 minutes drive, 
is Cardinia Park Reservoir.

Walk across the dam wall from either end, approx. l hour. Great for people who are  wheelchair bound and small children on bikes. Fantastic views.

From Crystal Brook Picnic Ground, walk straight up the path running parallel with the road, when you come to Lords Picnic Ground, track left and continue around. This comes out at Duffy's Picnic Ground,  then continue on back to Crystal Brook.   

From Kangaroo Flat Picnic Ground, take the path leading out the back of the bbq area, follow this until you come out on the Melbourne side of the dam wall. Continue as for the first walk, or track left and continue as above, then back to Kangaroo Flat via Lords Picnic Ground & Crystal Brook.

All these walks can be started at any of these picnic areas and be joined together for a morning's walk or cycle.

Dogs are permitted on leash in all areas except the dam wall walk.

The picnic areas are a haven for wallabies and kangaroos that come out to feed at early morning and dusk.

Take one of the many walks available that range from half an hour to all day, Enjoy the views to Westernport and Port Phillip bay to the west and south, and Dandenong Ranges to the north.

There are extensive tracks for walking. Maps are available at the park entrance station. Wheelchair  facilities have been designed for the tables, toilets and and paths. 

 

 

 Visitors with limited mobility are welcome at both Lysterfield & Churchill. Both parks have ramped access and accessible toilets

The two main walks are - 

(a) a short and pleasant walk from the lakeside area to the dam wall.  
(b) an 8-km walk around the lake, across the dam wall and along the Tramline Track, Lamberts Track and Lake Track, around the northern edge of the Conservation Zone to Logan Park Rd., then through the Conservation Zone to the main car park.(c) For the more adventurous a 6.4 km walk including return to the carpark takes you up to the Lysterfield Hills Lookout for spectacular 360 views of Melbourne. From the carpark at Churchill walk along the Channel Track and continue when it becomes Stonemasons Track and Lysterfield Hills Track. The track leads you straight to the top of the hill.

Adjoining the King Road Roundabout. Harkaway

This trail has been revegetated with indigenous species.

Walk along this scenic trail which adjoins Grassmere Creek. A half day walk along the equestrian trails and roads. Takes in King Road, Hilden Drive, Farm Lane, Beaumont Road, Gardiner Street, Harkaway Road, Old Coach Road (steep climb when going north) and Baker Road.
