EMERALD - COCKATOO TRAIL .... 20 Minutes from Berwick
	Entry point - Emerald Railway Station Melway 127 E 5 or Cockatoo - Bailey Rd  Melway 1311 F 5 Whether you like walking, riding or just a day out in unique bushland - the Emerald -Cockatoo Trail provides a great day out. Only 6 km in length it can be achieved in a morning or enjoyed as a day walk.
Passing through Wright Forest and along the Puffing Billy railway line the track offers sensational views and the opportunity to see wildlife. If you are an experienced bike rider Cockatoo to Wrights Forest will get your heart racing. If you are really fit, go all the way to Emerald. An easy family walk down from Emerald township to the Lake - more challenging from the lake to Cockatoo section, especially in the uphill Cockatoo to Lake direction. Dogs permitted but must always be on a leash.

	Easily accessed from Darnum from the Freeway.  Drive through the hills and down to Moonlight Creek Reserve. Easy walks to the Old Mill Site and surrounds.  1050 h.a. of natural forest and regenerating native bush in the western Strzelecki Ranges. Lookouts provide commanding views, and narrow winding gravel roads require care.

Length:  1.2km     Track   good   Grade   flat  Starting Sherbrooke Picnic Ground, Sherbrooke Rd.  Finish Sherbrooke Falls The gentle walk to Sherbrooke Falls, one of the many trails in the region, is the perfect intro. The track begins near the main entrance on Sherbrooke Rd., & winds past rough and smooth tree ferns, you will see Sassafras and Mountain Ash, some up to 200 yrs. old.
